I purchased this for me because I wear size 7.5 (US) or EUR 38. Since I read that these fit snugly, I opted to go a half-size up and get size 8/EUR 39 which is the same size as big kid 6. (If you thought US system of foot sizing were confusing, you should try figuring out the children's sizes!) The boots are labeled as US size 8/EUR 39, with an additional small sticker to indicate that these are equivalent to big kid 6. Since women's boots are $30 more, I bought as kiddie boots to save money.Once you figure out the best way to save if your feet are small enough, these boots are fantastic! I thought they'd look completely goofy, but they look great. The product description's measurement of the boot opening being 11" must be the average for all the kiddie-sized boots because the opening is larger than 11" for big kid 6. My calves measure around 12.5", and I have room to spare to tuck in my pants if I wanted, though not too much room - I'll try to post a photo when I get a chance.As for its functionality, I have no complaints. I hate wearing heels, and comfort is my biggest requirement for footwear, so these fit my needs. I haven't been in weather cold enough, so I haven't tested in snow, but these are warm and lined with furry, cozy goodness. My feet don't sweat that much, so I wasn't bothered with the lining.I almost always wear those high-tech SmartWool or other part-wool socks that are somewhat thick, and my 7.5 US/ EUR 38 feet fit too perfectly. If you have wide feet, these might be too tight for you. If you have thicker or more muscular thighs, these might be too tight. I have narrow feet and thin legs, so these are perfect when paired with thick socks I prefer to wear.These boots are so cute and warm but I could barely get them on my feet! I returned them. They run at least a whole size smaller. I read another review say they had to get a women's 9 for a normal size 7 1/2. Not sure if I will reorder. Amazon has a great return policy but I'd rather try these on at a retailer before playing the sizing guessing game.Great looking kids boots that runs true to size. Unfortunately, I feel the weather rating is completely inaccurate as wet snow/water seeps through the fabric very easily and my daughters feet get soaking wet. Would definitely NOT recommend for outdoor play, however are fine if you want an expensive winter kids boot that's just for looks.When I first received this boot, I was thrilled. They are very comfortable. The first time I wore them in the cold (40 degrees at night) my toes were still very cold and I had on wool socks. The next time I wore them I was in the rain all day. My feet felt dry and I was very happy as they are super comfortable. Two days later I went to wear them again and they were wet inside. It took five full days for the inside of the boots to dry. I am very upset that even though my feet were dry during the rain you can not wear these boots for almost a week afterwards. Wasted my money!!!!We really like this shoe for our narrow width child. She is a true narrow foot and finding shoes for a 2 year old that run narrow is impossible. Far worse than a wide footed child. So these are a win. They seem very water resistant, but I don't think I would trust them with a full day of puddle stomping without breaks in between. But so far on 40 minute toddler walks through lots of ankle deep water they work great.We bought these last year for my 4 and 8 year old girls. They are the best because you can put them in the washing machine! They fold over too, if you want to have a different look. They are completely waterproof, and are easy for kids to put on by themselves. We live in Oregon and the fleece lining is warm on cool days, but they never complain about wearing them on warm days either (they wear them out in the garden as mud boots during the summer). So we bought them in several more sizes!We like the look and the flexible soft material of this boot but I don't know if ours is missing something on the sole, as it has pokey spots all over the sole in both sides. My son (5 years old) never told me this until it became rainy and I tried to make him wear it. Now we are out of the return window too! Dissapointed:(We love Bog boots, and these are no exception. We'll see how warm they stay in the snow, as they are thinner than the classic version that we've always bought. Super cute to roll down the cuff and see the furry lining. The stitching on this doesn't look as beefy as I'd expect, so hoping that they hold up. Really cute, comfortable, and easy for my 5 year old daughter to put on. She loves them.
